ほくほくフィナンシャルグループ raised its forecast for consolidated net income for the fiscal year ending March 2027 by 27% from the previous fiscal year to ¥75 billion, and also increased its dividend forecast. It also raised its forecast for consolidated net income for the six months from April to September 2026 to ¥42 billion.
ほくほくFG, which has 北陸銀行 and 北海道銀行 under its umbrella, announced that consolidated net income for the fiscal year ending March 2027 is expected to reach ¥75 billion. This is ¥13 billion, or 21%, above the previous forecast of ¥62 billion. The increase in interest income on securities, which supports net interest income, is cited as a contributing factor.
Consolidated net income for the six months from April to September 2026 rose 38% year on year to ¥42 billion, exceeding the previous forecast of ¥31.5 billion and prompting an upward revision. The increase in interest income on securities as net interest income contributed to the result.
Along with the earnings forecast revision, the dividend forecast was also increased. Taking into account the one-for-10 stock split, the annual dividend before the split will be ¥190, ¥40 higher than the previous forecast. The stock split was implemented on 1 October 2026.
The forecast is reportedly based on the firm trend in net interest income resulting from the Bank of Japan's interest-rate increases, and attention is expected to focus on the trend in net interest income in future earnings announcements.
