Nippon Ichi Software rebounded sharply following its earnings forecast upgrade late last week. The company raised its first-half and full-year forecasts, driven by strong performance of its new domestic-market title.
Nippon Ichi Software's share price rose to ¥1,426, a sharp rebound of ¥194 from the previous day. The market is focusing on the move following the upward revision to the earnings outlook announced late last week. Reports suggest that the strong response to the company's new title in the domestic market is the backdrop.
The company raised its first-half operating profit forecast from ¥190 million to ¥730 million and its full-year outlook from ¥300 million to ¥720 million. In the same period of the previous year, it recorded a first-half operating loss of ¥320 million and a full-year operating loss of ¥410 million.
The upward revision is believed to reflect sales of 『ほの暮らしの庭』, a title released in the domestic market, exceeding expectations. Since the extent of earnings improvement in the first quarter was limited, the market is said to have viewed the impact of this revision as substantial.
