On 2 November, XREAL began accepting general consumer pre-orders in Japan for its Android XR glasses, “XREAL AURA.” The 12GB/256GB model is priced at ¥229,800 and the 16GB/512GB model at ¥269,800, with shipments starting in late November.
XREAL AURA supports the wide range of apps available on Google Play as well as XR apps, along with 6DoF spatial tracking, hand tracking, voice input and touchpad controls. It also supports Gemini and includes functions for recognizing information in the real world and assisting with app operation.
XREAL 1 Pro+ improves display brightness over the previous model and newly adds features including AI HDR. It offers 3 display modes—standard, cinema and reading—and upgrades its 2D-to-3D conversion function to 60fps.
Alongside the presentation, XREAL will hold hands-on events in 3 cities—Fukuoka, Tokyo and Osaka—from 14 November. Participation is free but requires an application, with attendees selected by online lottery. The events will offer hands-on experience with features including hand tracking, video playback and map apps.
