SHIZUOKA GAS has transitioned to a new structure to accelerate growth businesses. It is working to stabilize its LNG procurement structure and expand its overseas investment portfolio.
SHIZUOKA GAS is a city gas operator established in 1910. While expanding its supply area mainly across central and eastern Shizuoka Prefecture, the company proceeded with group organizational restructuring in 2026 and transitioned to a new structure. It established an intermediate holding company, carried out spin-offs and mergers, and reviewed its capital relationships.
The company has been working to build an LNG procurement structure centered on long-term contracts. In the first half of 2026, it signed new sale and purchase agreements, including with Tokyo Gas and PETRONAS LNG, strengthening its stable supply structure. In parallel, it is expanding and adding facilities at its LNG base, the Sodeshi Base, to accommodate growing demand.
The company formulated and disclosed its group philosophy, “We pursue a prosperous and sustainable future through the collective strength of our Group centered on energy,” and aims to help create a sustainable society by providing optimal solutions to customers.
SHIZUOKA GAS has expanded its supply network in the past through initiatives including connection to the INPEX pipeline and development of the Shizuhama trunk line, and transitioned to a new structure in January 2026. It has also strengthened its growth strategy as a corporate entity through measures including its transition to the Prime Market in 2022 and other reviews of its listing and market segment.
