Shizuoka Gas has announced a medium- to long-term strategy targeting consolidated ordinary profit of ¥13.0 billion by 2030. The company is reviewing its business portfolio mix by pursuing sustainable growth in the city gas business and developing new growth businesses.
The Group's 2030 Vision defines resolving local issues and creating sustainable, livable communities as its corporate mission, and sets out a policy of strengthening coordination across its diverse businesses, including city gas, LPG, electricity, renewable energy, lifestyle services and engineering. By 2030, the Group plans to expand the shares of LPG and electricity and renewable energy while maintaining city gas as its core business, and to promote local production for local consumption through the use of regional data and distributed power sources.
The Group's medium-term management plan was presented as its second pillar. Based on results for the interim period of the fiscal year ending December 2026, it aims to achieve consolidated ordinary profit of ¥13.3 billion, or ¥13.6 billion after adjustment, and ROE of 8.0% in the fiscal year ending December 2028. The Group plans to advance the deepening of its core businesses and expansion of its growth businesses in tandem. Total investment for the fiscal years ending December 2026 through December 2028 is estimated at approximately ¥107.0 billion, of which 66% will be growth investment and 22% core-business investment.
The third section sets out the breakdown and allocation policy for growth investment from 2026 through 2028. The plan allocates 66% to growth businesses, including overseas operations and electricity and renewable energy, and 22% to core businesses, including lifestyle services, engineering services and investment to expand the use of natural gas. It also refers to new initiatives such as regional digital transformation, forest conservation and overseas expansion, and states that measures will be implemented in stages to achieve the 2030 Vision.
The fourth section sets consolidated ordinary profit of ¥13.0 billion as the financial target for 2030 and states a policy of adjusting the business portfolio mix to city gas 50%, LPG 5%, electricity and renewable energy 12%, lifestyle services and engineering services 16%, overseas operations 14% and new businesses 3%. The medium-term plan will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with the aim of expanding the business scope through deeper penetration of core businesses and expansion of growth businesses.
