S&B Foods will again sponsor the Shimokitazawa Curry Festival 2026 this year. The 18-day event will run from 8 to 25 October, with 110 curry-focused stores, 21 sweets stores and 4 vintage clothing and other stores, for a total of 135 participating stores. The festival theme is “So delicious it wipes everything out!? Race around at sonic speed! Shimokitazawa’s 135 stores, a curry chain reaction! Festival.”
The company’s founder was the first person in Japan to manufacture domestically produced curry powder, and the company offers products including Red Can Curry Powder. This time, it aims to promote curry culture through product sponsorships, including powder roux made using its proprietary patented technology, and advertising placements. Special limited-edition menus and events are also scheduled to be offered during the festival.
