On 12 September, S&B Foods held its SPECIAL DAY “Spicing Up Japan” in Shibuya, Tokyo. The event was positioned as a sponsored event for JAPANESE CURRY FESTIVAL 2026, providing a venue for proposing new ways to enjoy curry.
The event was organised around the theme “SPICE UP! JAPAN” and featured live and food sessions designed to bring the enjoyment and excitement of spices into everyday life. A talk session explored adding spices to Japanese food and the diverse forms curry can take.
The venue featured S&B Red Can Curry Powder Roux and the SPICE&HERB series, while “Yatagarasu-style curry kamo nanban ramen” was sold in limited quantities, prepared by chef Iyama Sei (居山勢). A voting activity, “What aroma makes you feel that something is curry?”, was also held as a new way to enjoy curry.
