Net Protections is reported to have launched a feature for merchants that allows NP Postpay users to switch to credit card payments after placing an order. The initiative is intended to improve LTV, including for subscription purchases, and enhance the purchasing experience.
Net Protections announced that it has launched, for merchants, a feature within its NP Postpay deferred-payment service that allows customers to switch to credit card payments after placing an order.
The new feature enables users to switch to card payments from an invoice or notification email. For subscription purchases, once the switch is made, subsequent payments are automatically charged to the same card.
For e-commerce operators, the company explains that directing postpay users to card payments is expected to improve retention and LTV. A key feature is that merchants can introduce the service without requiring large-scale development because it uses the existing NP Postpay framework.
The overview of NP Postpay also states that it is a deferred-payment service in which customers pay after the product arrives, and that they can begin using it without registering as a member or entering credit card details.
