Net Protections will introduce its buy now, pay later service atone and overseas-focused service AFTEE on 17LIVE, one of Japan's largest live-streaming platforms. The company aims to acquire new customer segments by expanding payment options in both Japan and Taiwan and using a common system platform.
Net Protections announced that it will introduce the buy now, pay later service atone and the overseas-focused buy now, pay later service AFTEE on 17LIVE. AFTEE has already been introduced in the Taiwan region, and its launch in Japan will further integrate the Japanese and Taiwanese offerings.
The move reflects 17LIVE's need to accommodate user growth and diversifying payment needs in Japan and Taiwan. atone was selected as an additional buy now, pay later option following the introduction of AFTEE for local users. Key factors in the decision included reaching customer segments not fully covered by existing buy now, pay later services and reducing development workloads through the use of a common system platform.
atone is a buy now, pay later service available for both online and in-store purchases. Users pay after purchase and do not need to register a bank account or credit card details. AFTEE enables users to pay later using only a registered phone number, with options to pay for one month's purchases at once or in installments of up to 24 payments. A feature of the service is that NP assumes the risk of non-collection.
17LIVE is one of Japan's largest live-streaming platforms, with more than 50 million registered users worldwide. It will continue working to improve the customer experience by expanding its payment options.
