Honda has announced the new 2027 Civic in North America. The addition of Sport-L and the inclusion of Honda S+ Shift are among the updates to its technology and equipment.
On 8 October, Honda’s North American subsidiary announced the 2027 Civic. Key features include the addition of the new Sport-L grade and the introduction of the new Honda S+ Shift technology in higher-specification hybrid models.
Sport-L is a gasoline-only grade positioned between the existing Sport and Sport Hybrid. New equipment includes leather seats, heated front seats, power seats, dual-zone air conditioning and a passenger-seat pocket.
Honda S+ Shift has been added to the Sport Touring Hybrid. It is described as a new technology that simulates behaviours including downshifts with virtual rev matching and enhanced engine sound. Honda Sensing is standard on all Civics, incorporating features such as a collision-mitigation braking system with pedestrian detection, ACC, LKAS and LDW.
In terms of production, sedans are manufactured at a plant in Ontario, Canada, while hatchbacks are produced at a plant in Greensburg in the same province. MSRPs are shown for multiple models, including the LX, with prices for the sport-oriented grades also converted into yen.
