Pasona Group's 匠創生 announced that it will begin general sales on 1 October of a highball made with long-aged sake. The product uses aged sake brewed in 1998 and will be sold online and at selected outlets.
Pasona Group's 匠創生 will launch the Kojiki no Bishu Aged Sake Highball 1998, a highball made with long-aged sake. The sake is sourced from 富久錦 in Kasai, Hyogo Prefecture, and was brewed in 1998 before being aged for an extended period.
匠創生 operates Kojiki no Bishu, an aged sake brand that sources sake from 58 breweries in Japan and ages it for at least 10 years. The aged sake highball had been sold through the crowdfunding platform Makuake since July.
The product is sold in 350 ml cans for ¥880. It is scheduled to be available through the official online shop, as well as 4 Lawson stores in Tokyo and EXIVIN Sogo Chiba, a department store in Chiba City.
President Yasumura Akihiko (安村 亮彦) said that the product makes aged sake easier to drink and expressed his intention to create a new category of aged sake.
