株式会社リッケイ, 株式会社Jizai, and 公益財団法人東亜総研 have announced that they entered into a memorandum of understanding on collaboration in the AI-robotics field. The collaboration covers the AI-robotics field, including Palmimo, and aims to pursue joint development in Japan and expansion into Southeast Asian markets, particularly Vietnam.
The memorandum establishes a framework for progressing in stages from AI-robot research and development through local demonstrations and personnel development. The parties will consider initiatives to investigate local market needs and implementation requirements and connect development in Japan with local deployment.
The 3 main pillars of the collaboration are, first, validating potential applications and supporting compliance with local regulations through demonstrations and market development in Vietnam and Southeast Asia; second, jointly developing software and AI products by using resources at bases in Japan and Vietnam; and third, advancing initiatives including technical exchange and personnel development.
Going forward, under a collaboration vision spanning 2026 to 2030, the parties plan to advance cooperation in stages from research and demonstrations through implementation and local expansion. Specific initiatives, including PoCs, market-needs research, function development, the establishment of maintenance structures, and expanded personnel development, will be pursued according to schedule.
