NSK and アールティ will jointly exhibit and give a presentation at Robotics NEXT Tokyo 2026, to be held on 29 September 2026 on the 5th floor of Hall B at Tokyo International Forum. NSK made a strategic investment in アールティ in 2025 and entered into a business alliance agreement with the company, and the two companies have since advanced multiple projects in the fields of physical AI and robotics. The presentation will introduce a demonstration of a quadruped robot being used at an NSK manufacturing site, while presenting the challenges and potential of bringing physical AI into wider use from the perspectives of both companies.
Through their longstanding collaboration, the two companies have been working to reduce the burden of on-site patrols and inspections and improve safety. They identify the development of industrial infrastructure needed to bring physical AI into wider use at worksites as a key challenge. NSK’s strengths include developing highly reliable actuators and precision components drawing on its tribology technology, while アールティ’s strength lies in implementing service robots in real-world settings.
The venue will feature a prototype quadruped robot developed by アールティ, an autonomous patrol demonstration and an exhibit of NSK actuators for robots. The companies will examine potential applications and specifications for use in the field through demonstrations of the actual equipment. The exhibits are scheduled to be held in the foyer on the 5th floor of Hall B, and the presentation is scheduled for 16:30–17:00.
Kihara Takeshi (木原武志), Head of Business Planning at NSK, stressed the importance of robots that operate reliably in the real world, along with highly reliable components and infrastructure. He said NSK would draw on more than 100 years of accumulated technology to provide products that support the wider adoption of physical AI. Nakagawa Yukiko (中川友紀子), Representative Director of アールティ, commented on the importance of stable component procurement and systems that support the entire lifecycle, and said the companies would broaden their collaboration to strengthen Japan’s industrial infrastructure.
