Wantedly announced on 28 September that it had launched Mendy by Wantedly, an AI job-search agent app. The app is compatible with iPhone and Android and is available free of charge.
The 3 features in the initial release are centralized management of emails from recruitment agents, the creation and suggestion of email reply drafts, and a feature that displays the match level of scouting messages based on registered information, capped at 100%.
To use the app, users download it, upload their résumé data to create a profile, register their basic information and obtain a dedicated email address. Users who already work with recruitment agents are asked to share the new address and request that their contact details be changed.
According to the survey results, 75.3% of job seekers have used a recruitment agent, and many use an average of 2.8 agents during a single job search. Many agent users feel that the job openings proposed to them are a poor match, and many seek additional information. Future plans include expanding the app's functionality and developing autonomous support features, such as next-action suggestions.
