Saibo upgraded its current fiscal-year ordinary profit forecast from the previous ¥1.2 billion to ¥1.37 billion. It also raised its first-half ordinary profit forecast to ¥740 million, with the increase in equity-method investment gains cited as the factor.
After the close on 6 November, Saibo upgraded its consolidated ordinary profit forecast for the current fiscal year from the previous forecast of ¥1.2 billion to ¥1.37 billion. Ordinary profit for the previous fiscal year was ¥1.34 billion.
At the same time, its ordinary profit forecast for April–September, the first half, was upgraded from ¥550 million to ¥740 million, compared with ¥780 million in the same period of the previous year. As a result, the expected decline narrowed from 28.6% to 4.5%.
The revision was attributed to an increase in investment gains under the equity method following solid performance by equity-method affiliates. This provided the background for upward revisions to full-year ordinary profit and net profit attributable to owners of the parent.
