Sunmesse raised its forecast for cumulative ordinary profit for the second quarter from ¥110 million to ¥280 million. It also raised its full-year ordinary profit forecast to ¥430 million, with the decline from the previous year expected to narrow.
Sunmesse sharply raised its forecast for cumulative ordinary profit for the second quarter (April–September) from ¥110 million to ¥280 million, resulting in a forecast of approximately 40.5% profit growth, reversing its previous expectation of a decline.
Following the strong first-half performance, the company also raised its full-year ordinary profit forecast from ¥370 million to ¥430 million, with the decline from the previous year's ¥540 million expected to narrow.
As reasons for the revision, the company cited the fading of last year's special demand in its events business, while explaining that printing businesses related to IPS, packaging, package printing and information communications are expected to contribute more than forecast. It said it would continue working to secure earnings by strengthening its sales-promotion structure.
