First-week iPhone 18 Pro sales in China are estimated at approximately 1.3 million units, with more than approximately 320,000 units reportedly sold on the first day. BigGo Finance cited data from RD Observation, which is based on a compilation by a blogger who publishes device sales data on Weibo.
Differences in supply and demand between regions have also been reported, with indications of ample in-store inventory in Japan and the United States. Four days after preorders opened in the United States, delivery times were 2–4 weeks, the same as the previous year, although Morgan Stanley’s Eric Woodring said demand could be stronger than expected. BigGo Finance reported that supply and demand had eased in Japan.
Price differences have also been reported. The 256GB model in Japan is priced at ¥219,800, ¥40,000 more than the previous generation. Price differences for the main models in the United States, Taiwan and China continue to be reported, while the price increase in Japan has been analyzed as exceeding 20% from the previous generation’s launch price.
Testing of the high-capacity models reportedly found SK hynix QLC NAND in the 1TB/2TB storage configurations, raising the possibility of lower write speeds than before. In display testing, measurements shared for Samsung’s G9N panel indicated that color deviations were more pronounced than in the previous generation.
