Active trader Kubota Tsuyoshi (窪田剛) discusses the possibility of the Nikkei average reaching ¥100,000. He cites corporate growth and a weaker yen as the 2 factors behind rising share prices, and also discusses the outlook and how to use the new NISA.
Kubota Tsuyoshi (窪田剛) said that while reaching ¥100,000 within the year would be difficult, it could be possible over a period of several years. He pointed out that the underlying factors would need to be examined to understand how the index could reach ¥100,000.
As the 2 reasons for rising share prices, he cited, first, cases in which growth in Japanese companies raises corporate value and pushes up share prices, and second, cases in which a decline in the value of the yen raises share prices when expressed in yen. He said that examining the underlying factors, rather than just the level of the Nikkei average, was important in both cases.
The content of a lecture on the “Ashita no Money” YouTube channel jointly operated by the Nagoya Stock Exchange and TV Aichi included an explanation of the outlook for the Nikkei average, how to use the new NISA, Kubota's own portfolio and areas of focus.
Kubota organized the factors that could lead to a Nikkei average of ¥100,000 into 2 categories and emphasized the need to assess the underlying factors at that level.
