On 15 September, Volvo unveiled the new XC90 for European and US markets. With this update, the XC90 has evolved into a long-range plug-in hybrid, further strengthening its position as a luxury SUV.
The new XC90 integrates a high-capacity new battery into the floor and features a more powerful electric motor, delivering up to 160 km of electric driving range on a single charge. This represents a substantial improvement over the previous model.
The gasoline engine is designed to provide power when appropriate to preserve range, reducing concerns about range during long family trips. A mild-hybrid version is also available.
On the digital side, the vehicle comes equipped with the next-generation AI assistant Google Gemini and supports software updates over the air. Its features will continue to evolve through ongoing information and software updates.
