The building is 4 minutes on foot from Karasuma Oike Station, in an area surrounded by tourist attractions including Nishiki Market and Rokkaku-do Temple. The commercial space has a column-free shell specification, with the layout designed to prioritise circulation between the passageways and the stores.
For this project, フィル・カンパニー Group adopted a planning proposal aimed at revitalising the street by making use of the owner's land. The exterior combines wood-effect louvers and glass, using a design that harmonises with Kyoto's landscape guidelines. During the day, the building has an open appearance, while at night its interior lighting is designed to illuminate the street.
The tenants are NEUF CREPERIE. Karasuma Oike store (provisional name) on the first floor, Head Spa ZEN Kyoto store (provisional name) on the second floor, and Tachi-kiri Samurai Dojo YAIBA (provisional name) on the third floor. The stores were selected because they can express each brand's concept through their spatial design, and their openings have been confirmed.
