The product is a total heat exchange unit that reuses waste heat from showcases, and received favourable consideration from the judges as a new proposal related to the company's business of designing, manufacturing and selling refrigeration equipment and related machinery.
Drynal uses heat discharged from showcases for dehumidification and heating, reducing the amount of energy required to dehumidify and raise the temperature of the air. It also uses cold air leaking from showcases as a cold aisle, thereby reducing the energy required for dehumidification.
The judging panel highly評価ed the concept of using waste heat that had previously been discarded to improve the store environment, as well as the ease of installation in existing stores. The panel also expressed expectations that the concept could eventually develop into a standard approach to store facilities.
