Okinawa Electric estimated that the November bill for a standard household would be ¥10,752, an increase of ¥1,578 from October. The increase is attributed to the end of the subsidy and higher wheeling charges.
According to an estimate published by Okinawa Electric, the November bill for a standard household using 260kWh per month is expected to reach ¥10,752, the highest level since November 2016. The previous high was ¥9,663 in July 2024.
The main factors behind the increase are the end of the government subsidy, which eliminates a ¥910 reduction for a standard household, and higher wheeling charges, with the ¥590 increase applying from November.
