NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS and IBM Japan have begun collaborating in the field of AI governance. As the use of AI expands and governance becomes more difficult, the ability to explain decisions based on evidence and the importance of auditing how AI is used are increasing.
The companies aim to combine their respective strengths to build a platform that enables enterprises to use data and AI agents safely. DOCOMO BUSINESS brings experience in data security technology and confidential-data utilization through its proprietary “Sekihi” service, while IBM Japan offers global expertise in AI governance and risk management.
Specifically, the companies will consider architectures and use models for implementing AI governance and organize control and management requirements for use cases including generative AI adoption and operational efficiency improvements. They plan to consider commercializing delivery models and implementation structures in the future and to expand the initiative based on the results of demonstrations.
