コーセーアールイー announced its earnings after the market close on 10 September, reporting that consolidated ordinary profit and loss for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending January 2027 (February-July) had turned to a ¥23 million loss. The same period a year earlier had produced a ¥26 million profit.
Based on the first-half results announced by the company and its unchanged full-year plan, consolidated ordinary profit for the August-January period (second half) is expected to decline 28.1% year on year to ¥687 million.
Consolidated ordinary profit and loss for the May-July quarter (2Q), the latest three-month period, was a ¥31 million loss, compared with a ¥163 million profit in the same period a year earlier. The operating margin on sales deteriorated sharply, from 6.5% in the same period a year earlier to -7.5%.
