Taka-Q reported on 7 October that its ordinary profit/loss for the first half of fiscal 2026 had fallen into the red, with the loss also widening in the latest June-August quarter. Ordinary profit for the second half of the fiscal year is expected to be slightly above ¥400 million, and the company has maintained its outlook for achieving its full-year plan.
On 7 October 2026, Taka-Q disclosed in its earnings report that its ordinary profit/loss on a non-consolidated basis for the cumulative first half of the second quarter of the fiscal year ending February 2026 (March-August) had fallen into a loss of ¥201 million. It had posted a profit in the same period a year earlier, resulting in a return to the red.
Ordinary profit/loss for the latest three-month period, June-August, was a loss of ¥275 million, and the operating margin on sales deteriorated from -7.9% in the same period a year earlier to -17.8%. Based on its first-half results and unchanged full-year plan, the company said this means ordinary profit in the second half will need to expand to approximately ¥401 million, 5.7 times the level in the same period a year earlier.
The outlook for the second half of the current fiscal year calls for revenue of approximately ¥4,849 million, ordinary profit of approximately ¥401 million and net profit of approximately ¥413 million. The company said it aims to finish the year close to the revised figures. The earnings report also presents the consolidated/non-consolidated classifications and differences in accounting standards side by side.
