Saxa will launch the "SS8000" UTM for small businesses and SMEs in early December 2026. It is equipped as standard with an AI filtering function and is said to strengthen responses to unknown threats.
Saxa has announced plans to launch the "SS8000" UTM as a new product in its Office AGENT series. The product is said to feature an AI filtering function included as standard to improve the detection of unknown threats. It is also reported to introduce a system for sharing the latest threat intelligence collected in the cloud with the UTM in real time.
The SS8000 is a new product under a brand that uses IT to address the challenges faced by small businesses and SMEs. Its ability to continuously collect and analyse threat intelligence using AI is expected to strengthen protection against unknown attacks that are difficult to detect with conventional signature-based measures alone.
Communications performance has also been improved. Throughput when AI filtering is used is said to be approximately twice that of previous models, and the design is described as limiting latency even during high-volume communications using cloud services.
Support for incident response has also been expanded. The liability limit under cyber insurance is reported to be raised to up to ¥2 million, with coverage added for consultations and policy coordination by law firms.
