TAKUMA has been awarded a major equipment upgrade contract for the waste incineration facility at Kazo Clean Center in Kazo City, Saitama Prefecture. The project covers the renewal and repair of combustion equipment, exhaust gas treatment equipment and other facilities, with the aim of extending the facility's service life by 15 years. The facility is located at 1790 Umauchi, Kazo City, Saitama Prefecture. It is a stoker-type facility completed in March 1998, with a processing capacity of 216t/day and a 2-furnace configuration.
The project is expected to reduce electricity consumption through measures including the installation of inverters for blowers, reducing CO2 emissions by 3% or more. The contract period runs for 2 years and 7 months from September 2026 to March 2029, and the plan includes renewing major equipment that would be difficult to replace through regular maintenance.
TAKUMA intends to continue undertaking facility renewal and service-life extension projects, as well as operating facilities in close cooperation with local communities, drawing on its track record of receiving orders for and operating approximately 380 facilities in Japan, the largest number in the country.
