Volvo has unveiled the new XC60 with refreshed styling. The model is offered with a long-range plug-in hybrid designed for long-distance travel and is reported to deliver an EV range of up to 200 km on a single charge.
The new XC60, unveiled on 15 September, features updated styling and a long-range plug-in hybrid (PHEV) developed with the transition to fully electric vehicles in mind. While distinguishing it from the previous model, the update emphasizes driving performance oriented toward EV operation.
The key highlight is its EV range of up to 200 km on a single charge, which is said to be among the best in its class. The use of a high-capacity battery and a more powerful electric motor are cited as the reasons, with the model said to handle everyday driving with zero emissions while also being able to switch to a gasoline engine when required.
The exterior features refreshed front and rear designs. A newly designed grille, bumpers, bonnet and front fenders are combined with new-design wheels, while the signature Thor's Hammer matrix LED headlights have been adopted. The rear has also been comprehensively redesigned, including the tailgate, taillights and rear bumper.
The interior features a new dashboard and door panels, warm wood trim and Cardamom-colored ventilated Nappa leather. The changes are designed to improve everyday usability and the perceived quality of the cabin.
