横浜冷凍 has revised down its full-year forecast for the fiscal year ending September 2026 and now expects a ¥13.8 billion net loss. Losses in its overseas business are a contributing factor.
横浜冷凍 has revised its consolidated full-year forecast for the fiscal year ending September 2026. Revenue is expected to exceed the previous forecast at ¥130.5 billion, operating income is projected at ¥7.1 billion, and net income is expected to be negative.
The projected loss is due in part to an expected ¥23.6 billion impairment loss on investment securities related to a Norwegian salmon processor in which 横浜冷凍 holds an equity stake through a subsidiary. The company also expects to record ¥500 million in extraordinary losses as a provision for doubtful accounts.
In the previous fiscal year, revenue was ¥125.563 billion, operating income was ¥4.238 billion and net income was ¥1.978 billion. Following the revised outlook, net income is expected to turn from the previously forecast profit to a loss.
横浜冷凍 is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market. Weak overseas operations and the recognition of extraordinary losses are cited as factors behind the full-year loss outlook.
