ダイイチ revised downward its earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending September 2026, with operating profit and net profit expected to decline significantly. Profitability has deteriorated due to worsening conditions in the Middle East and higher energy and material costs, while the impairment loss recorded for the Chitose store also had an impact.
ダイイチ revised its standalone earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending September 2026. Operating profit was revised downward from ¥1.68 billion to ¥1.56 billion, while net profit is expected to decline significantly from ¥1.2 billion to ¥200 million. The sales forecast remains unchanged at the previous plan of ¥61.5 billion.
Factors contributing to the deterioration in the earnings environment include higher prices resulting from the worsening situation in the Middle East, rising energy prices and surging prices for oil-refining materials. These factors put downward pressure on profit other than sales.
In addition, the Chitose store, which opened in November 2024, has been performing significantly below plan. The recognition of an impairment loss of ¥1.326 billion as an impairment charge also had an impact.
