DEAR LIFE has significantly revised its ordinary profit forecast for the fiscal year ending September 2026 down from ¥10.0 billion to ¥6.12 billion. It has also lowered its second-half ordinary profit forecast to ¥5.61 billion, resulting in an outlook for a 21.8% decline for the full fiscal year.
DEAR LIFE announced a revision to its earnings forecast after the market closed on 24 September. It revised its ordinary profit forecast down from ¥10.0 billion to ¥6.12 billion and indicated that ordinary profit is expected to decline from the previous fiscal year.
It also lowered its second-half ordinary profit forecast from ¥9.49 billion to ¥5.61 billion, which would represent a decline from the same period of the previous year. As a result, the full-year plan now calls for a 21.8% decline in ordinary profit.
The company explained that it had strengthened property acquisitions in its core real estate business to achieve its medium-term management target, “Challenge 2028 — Catch the Wave,” but did not achieve its initial target due to factors including shifts in the timing of property sales.
The company’s basic dividend policy is a payout ratio of 40%, and it stated that there would be no change to its dividend forecast in connection with this revision to its earnings targets.
