Among the companies that announced their earnings after the close on 25 September, market attention is expected to focus on earnings forecast revisions at Hokkaido Electric, サイプレス, モリテック, テイツー and ホクシン. Price information is also provided.
Hokkaido Electric, which owns Hokkaido Electric Power, raised its current-year ordinary profit forecast by 53.3%, from the previous forecast of ¥30 billion to ¥46 billion. Against a backdrop of higher fuel costs, fuel cost adjustment amounts and electricity sales revenue to other companies are expected to increase, while revisions to wheeling charges are expected to boost profit.
サイプレス raised its consolidated net profit forecast for the fiscal year ending August 2026 by 51.0%, from the previous forecast of ¥520 million to ¥780 million. The projected increase in profit is also expected to widen from 19.3% to 80.0%, with improvements in group-wide customer numbers and average spending per customer, as well as the recognition of deferred tax assets, expected to boost net profit.
モリテック raised its consolidated net profit forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 to ¥1.01 billion, or 2.0 times the previous forecast of ¥500 million. Gains on the sale of assets of approximately ¥740 million are expected to boost net profit, significantly narrowing the rate of decline in earnings.
テイツー raised its consolidated ordinary profit forecast for the fiscal year ending February 2027 by 25.0%, from the previous forecast of ¥1.6 billion to ¥2.0 billion. Sales of trading-card-related products exceeded expectations, while sales of high-margin used goods are also expected to contribute, resulting in a new record high profit.
ホクシン revised its ordinary income forecast for the first half of the fiscal year ending March 2027 from a loss to a profit. Progress in revising selling prices and an increase in housing starts are expected to boost earnings, while the full-year ordinary income forecast is expected to remain unchanged at a profit.
