Lister has launched a “demand spillover analysis report” that uses the ¥5 trillion domestic investment plan announced by Kioxia and SanDisk as its starting point and breaks semiconductor capital investment down by manufacturing process, required function and procurement route. The report organizes specific points for consideration, including where a company’s own technologies and services can be used in semiconductor capital investment.
Lister has launched an analysis report that uses the approximately ¥5 trillion domestic investment plan announced by Kioxia and SanDisk as its starting point and breaks down demand spillover from semiconductor capital investment into manufacturing processes, required functions, equipment, materials, operational support and procurement routes. The report explains that, rather than simply linking the scale of the total investment to market size or individual companies’ order volumes, it presents specific points for consideration when manufacturing companies assess new market entry or sales activities.
The report is structured around a process extending from an overview of the investment plan to identifying where demand will arise, exploring points of contact with a company’s own technologies, confirming adoption requirements, and specifying potential sales and collaboration partners. From Chapter 2 onward, it organizes the functional breakdown of manufacturing processes and the supply structure, Chapter 3 covers factors driving changes in demand characteristics, and Chapter 4 organizes the issues involved in applying technologies from other industries to semiconductor applications. The appendices also include basic knowledge of the semiconductor industry.
The report is intended for practical use in combination with a corporate database and provides specific procedures, including preparing for initial meetings and identifying, comparing and checking source information for candidate companies. The formal database is available for a fee, and details of its content and terms of provision are provided separately.
