Fukuoka Financial Group announced an AI-first management policy and outlined plans to enhance operations and services through the use of AI in 7 fields and the introduction of AI agents. During this fiscal year, AI agents will handle consultations on cash management, asset management and other matters.
On the 21st, Fukuoka Financial Group announced an “AI-first” management policy to redesign operations and customer services on the assumption that AI will be used. Going forward, it plans to use AI in 7 fields, including sales, administration, planning and systems development, and to introduce AI to support corporate banking staff. AI will handle tasks such as preparing proposals, recording meetings and preparing contract documents, while analysis of accumulated data will also be used to develop higher-quality proposals.
After introducing an initial version of its AI agent, the company will expand its functions. For corporate customers, it plans to provide proposals on financial and sales plans, including cash management, while for individuals it plans to provide investment proposals based on their asset positions.
The company had initially planned to include the initiative in the next medium-term management plan, starting in fiscal 2028, but decided to bring it forward because technology is advancing rapidly. At a press conference, President Goto Hisashi (五島 久) said that the way work is conducted had changed through the use of AI, while explaining that the company would continue to focus on areas requiring in-depth human attention.
