rakumo has begun offering an electronic approval and workflow product jointly developed with AvePoint Japan. The product adds functions to support complex internal approval processes, with the aim of improving usability in Microsoft 365 environments.
rakumo announced that it began offering the electronic approval and workflow system "rakumo Workflow for Microsoft 365," developed jointly with AvePoint Japan, on 29 September 2026. This completes the 4 products in the company's "rakumo Basic Pack" and integrates workflow functionality within the Microsoft 365 environment.
The new product provides functions to address the complexity of approval and application processes at Japanese companies, supporting conditional branching, proxy approval, joint review and multistage approval. Users can automate the creation of application templates and the configuration of approval routes without relying on the information systems department, and the product can also integrate with Microsoft Entra ID and Teams. AI functions, including assistance with creating application templates and AI-powered search, are scheduled to be introduced sequentially.
