JAL Group will revise the fuel surcharge from tickets issued in November, applying Zone S to itineraries originating in Japan. The applicable period is 1 November through 31 December, and the amounts by route are as follows.
Japan Airlines (JAL) and Japan Transocean Air (JTA) will revise the applicable amounts for the international passenger fuel surcharge from tickets issued in November. In light of subsidies under the emergency measure to mitigate abrupt fluctuations, the applicable threshold will be lowered by one level and Zone S will be applied.
For itineraries originating in Japan and ticketed from 1 November through 31 December, the applicable one-way amounts are as follows: ¥7,100 for South Korea and Far East Russia routes and Okinawa/Naha–Taipei/Kaohsiung routes; ¥16,000 for East Asia routes excluding South Korea and Mongolia; ¥21,500 for Guam, Palau, the Philippines, Vietnam, Mongolia and Irkutsk, Russia; ¥33,200 for Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and Novosibirsk, Russia; ¥38,500 for Hawaii, Indonesia, India and Sri Lanka; and ¥62,000 for routes other than North America, Europe, the Middle East and Oceania, including routes to Hawaii.
The revision reflects the lowering of the applicable threshold to Zone S, based on a ¥24,000 benchmark, in light of the government's emergency measure to mitigate abrupt fluctuations related to the situation in the Middle East. It applies to itineraries originating in Japan and tickets issued in November 2026.
