かどや製油's ISOLETTA sesame oil for Western cuisine has attracted attention, with the "ISOLETTA KITCHEN by Kadoya" food truck appearing at Soramachi Hiroba in Tokyo. Families are said to have sampled 5 Western-style dishes as part of the experience.
ISOLETTA (イゾレッタ), developed as sesame oil for Western cuisine, is introduced as drawing on the rich aroma of premium sesame roasted at a low temperature and being usable like olive oil with just a swirl to finish a dish. It was launched on 1 September 2026 and is said to be a product marketed by かどや製油.
The food truck event was held over 2 days, 23 and 24 October, at Soramachi Hiroba on the first floor of Tokyo Skytree Town, where all 5 types of Western-style dishes were sold. The special BOX menu was described as generously portioned and priced at ¥500, and the dishes were also said to be finished with ISOLETTA.
At the venue, visitors could compare the flavors of bread topped with the oil, while rock salt was paired with vanilla ice cream for dessert. The event depicted families, including children, sampling the flavors. Through tasting the 5 dishes, attendees reportedly commented that ISOLETTA added aroma and flavor to dishes including chicken in tomato sauce, peperoncino-style pasta and French fries.
After the event, suggested uses at home included carpaccio sauce and minestrone, as well as savory dishes such as Japanese gyudon and miso soup. Events in Osaka and Aichi are reportedly planned for the future. ISOLETTA is said to be available at supermarkets nationwide and through the official online shop, with families reportedly considering their next ways to use it.
