ITOHAM YONEKYU HOLDINGS INC. and Future Architect will fully launch a logistics data visibility platform and advance medium- to long-term plans to improve loading rates and reduce waiting times for cargo. They also intend to pursue the development of joint transport and delivery in the future.
ITOHAM YONEKYU HOLDINGS and Future Architect have formally launched a logistics transformation project to centrally manage and analyze transport and delivery data. They aim to improve logistics efficiency by visualizing factors including loading rates, transport routes, and logistics costs.
Construction of the new visibility platform will begin in September 2026, with full operation scheduled for autumn 2027. The companies plan to shift from analysis conducted separately in the past to ongoing management and use the platform for KPI management, tracking progress on measures such as improving loading rates, reviewing transport between sites, and reducing waiting and cargo-handling times.
After the platform goes live, they will expand collaboration with logistics providers, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, and others, and consider joint transport and delivery with companies that have similar delivery routes, temperature requirements, and delivery conditions, as well as securing cargo for unused capacity and return trips. They aim to improve transport efficiency across shippers and logistics providers.
