NIPPON FELT raised its full-year net income forecast to a 3.2-fold increase and expects record-high profit for the first time in 20 periods. It also raised full-year profit to ¥1.8 billion and the annual dividend to ¥29, revising the year-end dividend to ¥15.
NIPPON FELT announced in its earnings report that consolidated net income for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027 (April–September) rose 61.5% year on year to ¥470 million.
The full-year plan was raised from the previous forecast of ¥500 million to ¥1.8 billion, or 3.6 times the previous forecast. Profit is now expected to increase 3.2-fold, marking a record high for the first time in 20 periods.
The full-year forecast was revised based on the first-half results and the previous forecast, following the recording of extraordinary income. The extraordinary income resulted from reducing cross-shareholdings, and the company plans to use the proceeds to acquire treasury shares and invest in growth. The dividend was revised to ¥29 for the full year and ¥15 at year-end.
For the latest three-month period, consolidated net income for July–September rose 63.4% year on year to ¥200 million.
