「At its meeting held on 31 October 2019, the Board of Directors reached a basic agreement to integrate the management operations of AISIN AW Co., Ltd. After AW acquires all AW shares held by TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION through a treasury-share acquisition, the Company and AW will merge. Share transfer date: April 2020 (planned). Merger date: 1 April 2021 (planned). The Company and AW will further accelerate the shift of resources to priority areas in the new company created by the merger and seek to strengthen competitiveness in CASE through synergies in both business and administration.」
