Renewing the Technical Research Institute and Strengthening Research and Development and Hands-on Technical Training Functions

「Amid major changes in the social environment, we have sought to accelerate the creation of new, distinctive value. Since 2017, our 125th anniversary, we have been fully renovating the facilities and equipment of the existing main building and replacing the testing equipment with state-of-the-art models. We also began construction of a new ANNEX building in April of the current fiscal year and completed the series of extensions and renovations in March.」

「During the consolidated fiscal year, we began using a renovated existing research building as a facility for training all employees. We also introduced a three-axis simultaneous permanent-magnet vibration-table system to replace the existing horizontal-vertical biaxial vibration-table testing machine, and newly purchased a 200kN hydraulic fatigue testing machine, a benchtop electron microscope and other equipment to strengthen testing and research capabilities. In March of this year, we began construction of an additional building with a multipurpose experimental space and warehouse that can also be used for practical technical training, with completion targeted during the next consolidated fiscal year.」
