Kiyo Bank, whose predecessor was Wakayama Bank, announced that it would establish Kobe Branch, specializing in corporate banking. The branch is scheduled to open on 12 April 2027, at the fourth floor of the Sannomiya Denden Building, with an initial staff of approximately 10.
This will be Kiyo Bank's first expansion into another prefecture in the Kansai region in 77 years. The bank regards Wakayama and Osaka as its home markets, where it has maintained a strong lending base in Osaka Prefecture for many years, with the aim of revitalizing business with companies in Wakayama and Osaka.
In Hyogo, the bank already does business with more than 100 companies through its Osaka sales base, and its outstanding loan balance has reached approximately ¥17 billion. With the establishment of Kobe Branch, it has set a target of increasing the outstanding loan balance to ¥50 billion–¥100 billion over the next 10 years.
Kiyo Bank plans to promote sales activities from Kobe aimed at expanding business with local companies and encouraging them to make the bank their main bank. It also plans to focus on business matching and M&A support for companies in Wakayama and Osaka.
