大東銀行 revised its consolidated ordinary profit forecast for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027 (April-September) upward from the previous outlook of ¥1.1 billion to ¥1.6 billion. It is now expected to increase by slightly more than 14% year on year.
The earnings revision announced during the afternoon session on 4 November is attributed to the expectation that net interest income at the bank-only level will exceed the initial forecast. This resulted in an expected upside in ordinary profit, while the full-year plan is said to remain largely unchanged.
The key point of the revision is that consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative second quarter (April-September) is expected to exceed the previous forecast of ¥1.1 billion and reach ¥1.6 billion. Ordinary profit in the same period of the previous year was ¥1.39 billion.
The full-year earnings forecast for the current fiscal year is expected to remain unchanged at the previous ¥2.5 billion, and the extent to which the revision will affect the final results for the current fiscal year will depend on future market conditions.
The announcement was reported by Kabutan News, and attention is focused on future earnings trends and the release of additional explanatory materials.
