DAISHO revised its first-half ordinary profit forecast for April-September 2026 upward from the previous forecast of ¥120 million to ¥420 million, representing 3.5 times the previous forecast. Meanwhile, the full-year ordinary profit forecast was left unchanged at ¥700 million.
On 27 October, DAISHO announced a revision to its first-half results forecast, stating that non-consolidated ordinary profit had been significantly revised upward from the previous forecast of ¥120 million to ¥420 million. The year-earlier figure was ¥220 million. As a result, first-half profit is expected to increase by approximately 86.7%.
The company explained that growing demand for foodservice sauces drove sales, while delays in developing the hot-pot soup market and other factors had an impact. On the profit front, it expects operating profit, ordinary profit and interim net profit to exceed the previous forecasts, helped by reductions in selling, general and administrative expenses.
The full-year forecast remains unchanged at present, taking into account the impact of the production environment, including higher raw material and fuel costs, increasingly thrifty consumer behaviour amid rising prices, and the effects of winter weather and vegetable price trends on hot-pot soup sales. The company said it will promptly disclose any revisions if future developments warrant them.
