ULTORA and Snow Brand Megmilk have jointly begun an initiative to make effective use of domestically produced dairy resources and achieve sustainable circulation of dairy resources. With the aim of supporting domestic dairy farming, they have outlined a policy of using resources such as skim milk powder and whey.
Under the initiative, the companies will establish a new system that combines skim milk powder generated during butter production and whey generated during cheese production with ULTORA's product planning and branding capabilities to create high-quality, domestically produced protein ingredients. By making effective use of these highly nutritious materials, they aim to enhance their value.
Their joint exhibition at Milk Fest will be the first phase, with a Snow Brand Megmilk × ULTORA joint creation booth on display. The booth will feature a panel introducing efforts to enhance the value of domestically produced dairy resources and an advance tasting area for a domestically produced whey-and-casein protein product scheduled for launch this autumn.
The companies say they aim to achieve sustainable resource circulation that connects Japanese dairy farming with consumer health through collaboration among dairy farmers, dairy manufacturers and protein brands.
