As NAND prices continue to rise, storage manufacturers presented practical proposals for gaming SSDs for autumn 2026 at Tokyo Game Show 2026. Kioxia highlighted its EXCERIA brand at its first appearance.
At TGS2026, 5 storage manufacturers, including Kioxia, exhibited their products and explained how soaring NAND flash and DRAM prices are affecting the market. The exhibitors aimed to provide guidance on product selection in response to price trends by allowing visitors to experience performance on actual systems and gathering their feedback.
At its first appearance, Kioxia put the EXCERIA brand front and center, displaying a PC equipped with an EXCERIA PRO G2 SSD as a demonstration system. It also introduced the EXCERIA G3 and EXCERIA PLUS G4 as internal SSDs supporting PCIe 5.0, promoting different choices for different use cases.
Nextorage clarified its policy of proposing QLC NAND for everyday use as well, demonstrated an actual PS5 expansion SSD, and announced the launch of the N/U brand. Crowxis said it would add SSDs as part of its rebranding from the 玄人志向 enthusiast-focused brand and use Realtek's integrated solutions to pursue cost stability. ITC introduced SSDs from BIWIN and Lexar, indicating plans to expand their presence in the Japanese market.
