The store is positioned as part of the company's initiative to expand customer access points in urban areas.
In Chiba Prefecture, 2 urban-format small stores, at Sogo Chiba and Plare Matsudo, were already operating. The addition of the Ichikawa store brings the total to 3. The company has clearly stated its policy of expanding this type of store in the future.
The company has indicated that it aims to build a network of 20 stores by the end of fiscal 2026 and 50 stores in fiscal 2027, advancing the expansion of customer access points in urban areas.
