BELLSYSTEM24 will sponsor the 6th Challenge Coffee Barista competition, to be held on 15 September (Tuesday), as a platinum sponsor. The event is hosted by the Japan Sustainable Coffee Association, and 10 teams that have passed the qualifying round will compete in skills and presentations on the day.
The company will be represented by "Café de Bell," a team of 5 staff members who work at a café operated by people with disabilities. The team is scheduled to appear first in the skills judging. Its participation is described as part of an initiative supporting the event's purpose: "a society in which diverse people understand and recognise one another."
The event will be held at Prince Hall at Shinagawa Prince Hotel, starting at 12:30. Judging will take place in two categories: brewing technique and blending. In the blending category, participants will use roasted beans provided in advance, and visitors to the venue will vote.
