SOMPO Risk Management Inc. and Resilire have announced a business partnership to strengthen supply chain risk management for Japanese companies. The two companies will establish a framework providing comprehensive support for supply chain visualization, risk assessment and mitigation. Sompo Japan Insurance plans to accelerate the provision of solutions, including insurance as a form of risk financing.
The environment surrounding supply chains is rapidly becoming more complex amid growing geopolitical risks, natural disasters, cyberattacks and demands for sustainability. Under these circumstances, managing a company’s own risks alone is insufficient to protect corporate value and sustain growth. Companies are required to visualize and assess risks across the entire supply chain, including Tier N suppliers, and implement effective risk responses in an integrated manner.
Through this business partnership, the companies will combine Resilire’s supply chain risk management cloud platform with SOMPO Risk Management’s risk assessment expertise to provide consistent support from visualization through risk mitigation. Sompo Japan Insurance says it will use this framework to accelerate the provision of solutions, including insurance, to companies.
The companies also intend to further enhance data-driven risk assessment and mitigation and work toward building resilient and sustainable supply chains in Japan.
