STUDIO55 has launched a proof of concept (PoC) for Drawing Review AI with FUKUDA CORPORATION to support the review of architectural drawings. Following interviews to understand the workflow, the companies aim to improve review accuracy and reduce the workload of staff.
STUDIO55 announced that it had jointly launched a proof of concept (PoC) with FUKUDA CORPORATION to use AI to support the review of architectural drawings. The initiative aims to improve the efficiency of drawing reviews through the automated cross-checking of drawings and identification of inconsistencies.
The background to the PoC is that drawing reviews tend to depend on experience and expertise, making workload and reliance on individual employees ongoing issues. STUDIO55 gained a detailed understanding of FUKUDA CORPORATION's drawing review operations through multiple workflow interviews and proposed an AI-based drawing review support system. The objectives are to improve review accuracy and reduce the workload of staff.
The overview of Drawing Review AI describes a system that imports multiple drawings, automatically cross-checks them and identifies inconsistencies, and reports them in a list of inconsistencies. STUDIO55's customized Drawing Review AI supports the drawing rules and cross-checking criteria of each company, and aims to develop and operate the system incrementally in line with each workflow through on-site interviews.
